Hang in there tired mama

If you're a mama, you're tired....so tired.

Sometimes you'll wonder how you're gonna make it through the day, and then you realize it's not even noon!

Sometimes you'll be on your fifth coffee and you're still thinking you need tape to keep your eyes open.

Sometimes you're just emotionally tired from your children; the constant crying, fighting, and the teenage eye rolling and slamming of doors (I mean, I know I did that a lot as a teen.....sorry mom!).

Mamas, remember to hang in there! You've got this! Take it one day at a time....or one hour at a time. Remind yourself that you're a great mom in the midst of tiredness. Don't be ashamed to get your kids busy doing something easy to allow yourself to rest. Don't be ashamed to nap while your kids do, if they nap that is. Don't be ashamed to ask a family member or friend for help. Don't be ashamed to get someone to watch your kids so you can get a break.  Allow yourself to rest mama. And if you're having a day, week, or month where you are unable to get that rest, give yourself some grace! Allow yourself to be imperfect.

Remember your kids love you....even if they yell the opposite when they're angry.  We are all in this parenting thing together. There is a reason there are so many coffee shops and why they never go out of business. Why? Because there are millions of us parents out there fighting to stay awake during the day. We gotta get through the morning rush before school. Through the many daily activities like sports or art classes. Through daily chores around the house with a toddler constantly pulling on your pant leg. Through the bedtime routine....you know that one takes forever.

Parenting may be totally worth it, which is so is, but it's tiring! Have fun. Take a deep breath. Drink another cup of coffee. Then when night rolls around, swap that coffee for a glass of wine.

Why? Because you deserve it!  Cheers!!!
