Happy Father’s Day!
Shout out to all the great dads out there!!
I'm talking about the dads who are quick to love instead of quick to anger.
The dads who provide yet are still present at home.
The dads who are protective yet incredibly gentle.
The dads who became dads by surprise.
The dads who planned to become one.
And the dads who aren't blood related, but are better dads than the kids could have ever asked for!
But most importantly to the two dads I admire most in the world, my husband and my own dad!!!
There are lots of dads in the world. Unfortunately, there are not many great dads. Many are physically absent. Many are emotionally absent. Some are abusive. Some are intimidating. Some have too high of expectations. This leaves many children growing up without knowing what it's like to have a great father.
Today, I'm here to remind us to appreciate the real fathers! Though no one is perfect, everyday they are trying to be the best they can possibly be. If you have one of those as your own, if your husband is one of those, or your significant other, let them know how grateful you are for them! Remember the times when they helped shape you or your kids lives by doing all that they do.
Daddy daughter dates, father son camping trips, the moments they helped with homework, or cheered you on at a sporting event. These dads are the real MVPs! Our world needs more of them.
For now, we need to appreciate the great ones more often! So thank you to all you dads out there that are involved, constantly loving, and helping make this world a better place by being present in their children's lives!!!
